Do you want to help renew Sweden's Radio local news and reach a larger audience digitally?
We are now looking for a Digital Editor for the Digital Hub – be part of shaping the future of P4!
Sveriges Radio is one of the country's strongest digital platforms for news with a focus on audio – where channel broadcasts, podcasts, and current events converge. To give our local news even greater impact, the Digital Hub was created – a new desk organization responsible for local news content on the website and in the app.
As a digital editor, you will be part of an engaged team of 40 employees across 25 channels from Luleå to Malmö, who collaborate daily via Teams and together reach the entire P4 audience. Here, you will work on everything from news coverage and social media to optimizing content to attract more listeners and readers – always prioritizing credibility.
Your responsibilities:
- Craft sharp and enticing headlines, write articles, and package digital content based on audio clips.
- Publish on social media and moderate comments on news posts.
- Optimize the news flow, create promotional packages, and send news pushes.
- Monitor major events and the news situation for all 25 P4 channels.
- Collaborate with local newsrooms on ongoing news stories.
- Participate in development projects that drive Sveriges Radio forward.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about reaching more people, finding new audience pathways, and developing digital content. You work quickly and efficiently – but always prioritize quality and credibility. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with colleagues remotely.
To succeed in the role of digital editor, you need to have:
- A journalism degree or equivalent experience.
- Documented experience in digital publishing in an editorial environment.
It is also advantageous if you have:
- Experience working with content and strategy for social media.
- Experience in breaking news work.
