The Kidney Unit The Kidney Unit in Visby has a regional responsibility for kidney care within Region Gotland. The Kidney Unit is a clinic that offers comprehensive nephrological assessment and treatment, except for kidney transplants, which are performed at the transplant center in Stockholm. The unit has a well-functioning kidney outpatient clinic and a peritoneal dialysis outpatient clinic. The clinic receives approximately 730 visits per year, including check-ups for 39 transplanted patients. The unit consists of hemodialysis with about 30 patients, a bag dialysis outpatient clinic with around eight patients, and a kidney outpatient clinic with approximately 360 registered patients. Our care team includes a dietitian, physiotherapist, and social worker, allowing us to offer complete care. Our operations are growing, and we are now looking for a dialysis nurse! Your Responsibilities As a dialysis nurse, you will be responsible for preparing, starting, and concluding dialysis treatments. You will monitor the patient during treatment and handle documentation. The unit also has specialized areas of responsibility that we oversee. We offer you an interesting and developing job where you will work in a team with experienced colleagues, with the patient at the center. As the responsible nurse for patients, you will collaborate closely with doctors, nursing assistants, and other healthcare providers involved in the patient's care. If you have not worked with dialysis before, you will receive an individual introduction from one or two experienced dialysis colleagues over eight weeks based on a fixed training plan. The Kidney Unit operates on a 10-week schedule. The unit is open Monday to Saturday, so working on Saturdays and evenings is part of your role. Who You Are We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with dialysis experience and a few years of experience in healthcare. You have a strong commitment to your profession. We see that you, as an applicant, have a good ability to work independently with a sense of responsibility. You should be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. We place great value on good collaboration skills, creativity, flexibility, and a holistic approach. You should enjoy working in a smaller team and be interested in development and technical equipment.
