We are currently seeking a diabetes nurse for our Diabetes Clinic.
Our current diabetes nurse is looking for a colleague who wants to help drive the department forward together with other colleagues in the diabetes team.
The diabetes service falls under the Internal Medicine department, which also includes several specialist clinics, three medical wards, and an emergency department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of a diabetes team consisting of endocrinologists, dietitians, medical foot care therapists, social workers, and physiotherapists.
As a diabetes nurse, you will conduct independent nursing consultations. This involves educating patients and their relatives in self-care, both individually and in groups, in areas such as injection techniques, self-monitoring, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, and medication effects. Another important aspect of the role is the follow-up of lifestyle habits, medication adjustments, and qualified telephone counseling. We work person-centered and meet patients, primarily those with type 1 diabetes aged 18 and older.
The position includes collaboration with our care wards and educating newly diagnosed inpatients with diabetes.
You will also work with home healthcare regarding shared patients in Landskrona and Svalöv municipalities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education in diabetes care level 1 (15 Hp) and 2 (15 Hp) or a specialist education in diabetes (60 Hp) and qualified to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference is required.
Experience in the areas relevant to the position is an advantage, including insulin pump therapy and CGM. Additionally, we prefer candidates with IT skills and system knowledge in Melior.
To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to work independently and focus on solutions. We value attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a commitment to quality. Strong collaboration and communication skills are prerequisites for this role. Personal suitability is of great importance.
