Are you our next development and DevOps star in API, microservices, and digital infrastructure?
We are currently seeking experienced and high-performing development resources who want to help build the next generation of digital infrastructure – focusing on APIs, microservices, integration solutions, and modern DevOps development.
You will work as part of our development factory and in the DevOps teams that drive the further development of our in-house products and services. The role involves developing, lifecycle managing, and quality assuring API and microservice components, as well as collaborating with other teams to improve tools, methodologies, and delivery flows.
We are looking for a total of 3–5 resources to strengthen our capacity ahead of a significant initiative starting at the turn of the year.
🔧 Assignment Focus
You will work on:
• Development of APIs, microservices, and integration components
• Lifecycle management of API infrastructure (WSO2, API Gateway, API Manager)
• Refinement of tools, processes, and working methods within DevOps teams
• Further development of our platforms with a focus on stability, scalability, and security
• Integrations with multiple systems via REST, SOAP, Kafka, JMS, etc.
• Active participation in agile processes such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
📌 Availability & Start Date
All resources must be able to start the assignment 100% from 2026-01-01.
For the replacement of existing consultants, the following applies:
At least 50% of the resources must be able to start no later than 2025-12-15 to ensure handover.
Example: For 5 offered resources:
• At least 2 consultants must be able to start 100%
• At least 1 consultant must be able to start 50%
• — or all 5 resources can start at 50% no later than 2025-12-15
📍 Location
Work will take place on-site in Sundsvall Municipality for at least 60% of the working time.
Example:
• 100% assignment → at least 60% onsite
• 50% assignment → at least 30% onsite
Resources must be able to be present at the workplace no later than the next working day if needed.
✅ MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (Must be met)
All consultants must have at least 2 years of documented experience in the following:
• Software development within the municipal or public sector
• Microservice development in Java/Spring Boot
• Database management in MariaDB or PostgreSQL
• API design and API development
• API lifecycle management in WSO2 API Manager
• Agile DevOps teams and modern CI/CD frameworks
• Building integrations with REST, SOAP, Kafka, JMS, or similar
• Working in agile processes (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, continuous improvement)
• Jira
• Confluence
• Understanding of and experience in implementing API strategy and API infrastructure in practice
⭐ PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (Desirable)
• BPMN competence (e.g., Camunda)
• Documented experience as a solutions architect
