Our development department currently has four skilled developers creating smart and sustainable solutions in C# and SQL – and now we're seeking a confident, inspiring, and proactive leader to help us take the next step.
As Development Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for our software development from planning and architecture to operation and further development of our systems. You'll be a bridge between the business and development team, ensuring our solutions are high-quality, operationally stable, and meet business needs. You'll regularly report on work progress, set realistic and clear goals, and when obstacles arise, find alternative paths forward.
But perhaps most importantly, you'll build a safe, pleasant, and inclusive work environment. We believe great results stem from engagement, community, and humor (we appreciate both memes and well-placed GIFs).
You will:
• Lead and coach the development team in daily work, inspiring and supporting them through technical challenges.
• Work closely with our IT Director to prioritize backlog and plan deliveries.
• Participate hands-on in development when needed, especially in C#, WPF, and SQL.
• Contribute to design and implementation of new technical solutions, as well as management and improvement of existing systems.
• Develop and document our processes to create clarity and efficiency in team work.
We believe you have a university degree or equivalent experience, with at least five years of work in software development. You don't need to write the most code, but you should have a solid understanding of development work and be able to guide others forward.
To thrive with us, you should also enjoy communicating in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing, and be able to translate between technology and business. Experience with PowerBI is a plus, but not required.
