About the organization
The Field-Tele section (in its current form) consists of 12 employees and one manager. The section is responsible for the maintenance of the Armed Forces' telecommunications network, radio, sensor, surveillance, and field communication systems for the transfer of communication and information.
The technicians within Radio and Communication work with systems that include antennas, cabling, programmable radio stations, radio links, fiber equipment, and advanced soldier-borne equipment. The work is primarily carried out in the Armed Forces' facilities in Enköping but may (for the technicians) involve travel to support other units/commands worldwide. In Enköping, the detail is currently placed under the FMTIS unit as part of the Implementation Unit Mitt, transitioning at the turn of the year to one of four units under the Army Staff, the Mark Workshop.
The Armed Forces are currently undergoing a significant technological shift and are in an expansive phase. Therefore, we are seeking a new section manager for the Field-Tele detail in Enköping.
Responsibilities
As section manager, you will be the front-line leader with personnel responsibility, and your main task will be to lead and allocate work within the team. We are looking for a manager for the Field-Tele detail, which currently consists of 12 employees.
You will be part of the management team and work closely with other managers, production management, and command support. The role involves personnel responsibility, and your main task is to lead and distribute work within the team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the section's objectives are met and that the employees in the team develop towards the collectively established goals. You will also be responsible for production, quality, finances, work environment and safety, and for maintaining and developing good customer relationships with the functions within the Armed Forces that order material maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school or university education in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering & IT, Telecommunications) or equivalent work experience deemed relevant.
- Recent experience in a position as a front-line leader, preferably from a production environment.
- Interest in technology/IT/communication technology
- Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- B driver's license
