Design Engineer sought for our client in Västerås. Are you meticulous, analytical, and thrive in a technical environment? Do you want to work with design, standard solutions, and technical solutions in a global organization?
This is a part-time consulting assignment (10–20%) for approximately five months, starting in mid-January, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time later. You will be working within the Robotics division in Västerås and will be part of a team that develops and further refines standardized design solutions for equipment, systems, and installations.
The role involves being responsible for creating and modifying standard designs according to applicable specifications. You will work with drawings, calculations, and technical solutions for projects of low to medium complexity, based on established methods and standardized processes.
You will contribute to design reviews, verifications, and update designs as needed. The work is performed in close collaboration with experienced engineers, and you will work both independently and under supervision depending on the scope of the task.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Create and update standard designs for equipment, systems, and installations
• Ensure that designs comply with established specifications, requirements, and guidelines
• Produce drawings, calculations, and other technical documentation
• Contribute to design reviews and verification processes
• Adjust and improve designs based on feedback and test results
• Work according to established processes, tools, and standards in the technical field
• Share technical information and collaborate with colleagues in related disciplines

• Experience or knowledge in design, drawing management, and technical calculations

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to share technical information
• Ability to work in both independent and supervised tasks
Meritorious:
• Experience with CAE/CAD tools
• Previous work in an industrial or technical environment
• Familiarity with robotics, automation, or mechatronics
