About the Assignment
We are seeking a Design Engineer in Mechatronics for an assignment with one of Sweden's leading industrial groups. The role involves working on the development of next-generation handheld products in both battery and gasoline technology.
As a Design Engineer, you will become part of a driven and innovative R&D team within Power Systems, with responsibility for developing drivetrain solutions for future products in forestry and urban environments.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and other organizational functions, playing a key role in product development – from concept to finished solution.
Work Tasks
• 3D and 2D design of electromechanical components
• Development of mechatronics concepts and participation in feasibility studies
• New development and further development of existing products
• Collaboration with internal teams ("Squads") and external suppliers
• Contribute to ensuring delivery of high-quality and innovative technical solutions
Qualifications
Requirements:
• College degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in mechatronics or mechanical design
• Experience with CATIA or equivalent CAD tools
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent English
Meriting Factors:
• Experience with embedded systems and mechatronics
• Experience in volume product development
• Knowledge of electromechanical components, wiring, and PCB
• Experience working in PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter)
• Experience with lightweight metal design, machining, and molding tools
• Experience with frequent contact with suppliers and customers
