JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This is a role for you who want to combine strategic thinking with practical action, and who is motivated to contribute to quality work that makes a difference for both the organization and individuals with cognitive disorders as well as their relatives. The dementia nurse collaborates with staff within care and support in teams and will work according to the national guidelines for care and support for dementia and follow the national target levels. You will work closely with unit managers and the operations manager, having regular updates with them and providing reports regarding results from quality registers and target levels. Training of staff is an important part of the work, as is supervision, which sometimes occurs directly in patient-facing meetings. Through regular rounds at the health center, you will become familiar with patients early in the disease and follow them, together with case managers, according to the standardized intervention process. You will lead the cross-professional dementia team at the nursing home, which is responsible for quality assurance and development of the operations. Support for relatives is provided in collaboration with the relative coordinator and includes study circles, cafes, and support conversations. Day activities are an important part of the work, where regular updates and development work occur. Recently, CST was introduced for individuals with mild to moderate dementia. The work is highly varied, and you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing independently. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a specialist nurse with a focus on care for dementia. You should have good clinical experience and be familiar with SveDem and the BPSD register. It is an advantage if you are a certified trainer in the BPSD register. The role includes supervising and training staff, and it is desirable that you are an authorized nursing supervisor or have some form of supervisor training as well as educational training. Good collaboration skills and leadership qualities are required. The ability to work independently is a must.
