About Us
Assistera Skandinavien AB is a family-run company that offers personal assistance to individuals with disabilities who are granted personal assistance under the Act on Support and Service (LSS). We are a smaller company with extensive experience, and we recognize the importance of everyone in our operations – assistance users, family members, and assistants. Creating a good assistance experience requires that all parties feel comfortable and secure. Our job is to ensure that happens – for you.
About the Position
We are currently seeking personal assistants for one of our users residing in Ålidhem. We begin with a temporary hourly contract where you will be trained and able to try out the job for a while; thereafter, there is the possibility of a permanent position at 80%, 70%, or 60%. Work hours vary between daytime, evening, and awake night shifts. There will also be waiting time during work shifts. We welcome applications from both female and male candidates.
Personal Attributes
You have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with the user and colleagues without misunderstandings. As a personal assistant, you are meticulous, responsible, and solution-oriented. You are attentive and able to perceive the user's needs, even when they are not articulated. You remain calm, empathetic, and stable even in stressful situations and have a positive attitude toward your work. Personal suitability is highly valued.
Job Responsibilities
You will assist the user with tasks they cannot perform independently, based on granted interventions. This may include:
• Transfers and personal hygiene
• Household chores and daily activities
• Support in communication and social contacts
• Documentation and reporting of events and deviations
• Performing delegated or self-care tasks.
Your workplace is where the user is – either at home or during activities outside the home.
Other
Selection and hiring are ongoing. If you proceed in the process, you will need to verify your identity and demonstrate your right to work in Sweden. Background checks may occur, and for work with minors, an extract from the criminal records register is always required: polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/
