Your Role in the Organization
The Decor Unit consists of approximately 20 dedicated employees, led by our Decor Chief, Martin Vogel.
We work with construction, carpentry, forging, painting, props, upholstery, and set design.
Our painting team comprises two painters, one of whom is Christer Paleologos, who is the foreman and leads and distributes the work. You will be replacing a colleague who is retiring.
Job Responsibilities
As a decor painter, you will paint walls, decorations, furniture, props, and backdrops for Kulturhuset Stadsteatern's performances and exhibitions. Some sculpting and prop-making may also be involved.
As a team member, you will be part of a team, both in the painting department and with other colleagues in Decor. At the same time, this is a job with great independence. This means you need to be comfortable proactively seeking the information you need for your work and daring to take responsibility.
We produce approximately 40 productions per year.
Qualifications
We prefer candidates with experience in decor production for performing arts, film/TV, or similar activities.
You should be comfortable working with SketchUp and other digital tools.
You should have a positive attitude, curiosity, stress resilience, and a non-pretentious approach. We place great value on personal qualities.
