About this role
We are looking for a BI Developer for an authority within the power sector. This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high degree of flexibility and teamwork.
**The Assignment**
As a BI Developer (Data Engineer), you will work on the development, maintenance, and support of BI solutions in projects and management. You will be part of an agile team where you collaborate with Data Scientists, DevOps engineers, project managers, solution architects, system developers, and test leaders. The work includes the design, construction, testing, and management of data solutions, as well as support for digitalization related to the energy transition, forecasts, and predictive models. Technologies used include Python, Hadoop, Kafka, Windows PowerShell, SQL databases, and container-based environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
**Responsibilities**
- Design and develop procedures, database schemas, and logic in SQL for Microsoft SQL Server in the data warehouse.
- Responsible for acceptance testing against end users.
- Manage and further develop deliveries to end users in a DevOps team, including machine learning algorithms with historical and real-time data.
- Create or update system documentation.
- Collaborate within the team as well as with other parts of the organization.
- Handle incidents, troubleshooting, and bug fixing in application management.
- Act as scrum master, coordinating daily work and managing the backlog in consultation with the product owner.
**Requirements (Mandatory)**
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Higher education (university degree) of 120 credits/180 ECTS in IT or equivalent work experience, with at least 10 years that the client considers equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in SQL development from the last 10 years.
- Experience in performance optimization in SQL Server, including analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement of complex database systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in SQL programming, including writing, reviewing, and optimizing advanced SQL code.
- At least 5 years of experience as a BI Developer (Data Engineer) in medium-sized organizations (200+ employees).
- At least 5 years of experience in an agile IT organization with agile system development.
- Within the last 10 years, at least 5 years of experience as a BI Developer, working with large data volumes and complex data models, managing multiple data sources, both structured and unstructured.
- Within the last 10 years, at least 5 years of experience as a BI Developer, working with databases and database architecture, including the design of data models.
- Optimized and worked with performance adjustments within relational databases and modern data storage solutions.
- Within the last 10 years, at least 5 years of experience as a BI Developer, working with ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load), including development, automation, and optimization of data flows.
- Within the last 10 years, at least 5 years of experience as a BI Developer, working with data pipelines and orchestration tools, such as Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent.
**Desirable**
- Experience from at least 1 assignment within organizations working with power systems in the last 8 years.
- At least 2 years of experience as a scrum master in the last 5 years.
- Experience from at least 1 assignment using Power BI or another BI tool in the last 8 years.
- Experience from at least 1 assignment in organizations in complex environments with high demands on information security in the last 8 years.
- Experience from at least 1 assignment where both Visual Studio is used for database projects and worked with DACPAC in the last 5 years.
- Experience from at least 1 assignment where Azure DevOps is used as a tool for DevOps teams in the last 5 years.
**Other Requirements**
- Security clearance: Security vetting and background check are required.
