In the Analysis and Innovation unit, we drive the development of the Swedish Companies Registration Office towards a more data-driven and innovative authority. The unit is responsible for statistics, data warehousing, advanced analysis, decision support, and innovation management. We also explore how artificial intelligence can create value in our operations. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a data analyst at the Swedish Companies Registration Office, you will help drive the development towards a more data-driven and insight-driven organization. You will work broadly with analyzing, modeling, and visualizing data to create understanding, predict events, and support better decision-making. The work alternates between practical analysis in our BI tools and more advanced modeling and simulation, a combination that makes the role both varied and developmental. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and business representatives to understand needs, interpret data, and translate complex information into clear insights. By combining analytical methods with curiosity and storytelling ability, you will help transform data into narratives that make a difference.
You will become an important part of the analyst team, which is part of the Analysis and Innovation unit, and is a team with broad expertise and varied assignments. Together, we work passionately to integrate data management and analysis into the authority's work, to strengthen decision-making, streamline processes, and contribute to increased automation. The team possesses both deep specialist knowledge and the opportunity to learn from each other, and you will play a crucial role in developing both working methods and approaches moving forward.
As a data analyst, you will:
• be responsible for developing and implementing analyses, models, and visualizations that support the organization’s decisions and development
• contribute to translating data into insights through work with BI solutions, data modeling, and simulation, as well as developing the authority's data-driven working methods
• work closely with colleagues and business representatives to understand needs, interpret data, and present results in a clear and business-relevant manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an academic background in technical mathematics, statistics, data analysis, economics, engineering, or another relevant field. Furthermore, you should have a few years of professional experience in data analysis or decision support.
To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to have:
• experience with BI reporting and working with requirements gathering and specification related to BI solutions
• experience with analysis and statistical tools such as SAS or equivalent (e.g., R, Python, or Power BI) as well as experience in BI environments
• experience in planning, executing, and coordinating analysis assignments, and providing support to other analysts in method selection and tools
• the ability to work systematically with quality, traceability, and robustness in data handling and analysis
• the ability to communicate clearly, pedagogically, and tailored to the audience, both in Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you also have:
• experience in applied statistics, model development, simulation, or forecasting
• advanced competence in applied or computational statistics for analysis, modeling, and optimization in complex systems
• experience with tools for simulating or modeling complex systems, such as Vensim, Jamsim, or equivalent (AnyLogic, SimPy, Modelica)
• experience with complex data flows, data modeling, or ETL processes
• experience with Python-based frameworks for analysis, modeling, or machine learning
• experience with using Jira, Confluence, SQL, or other relevant technologies.
