In Range Operations, we manage and lead the central Data & Analytics team, driving collaboration, technical excellence, and data-driven decision-making across Core Business Range and IKEA. Ensure consistent methodologies, deliver high-quality insights, and stay aligned with evolving technologies and business needs.
Your new job
We’re looking for a Data Product Leader who wants to solve complex, real-world problems to make life at home simpler. Join us on our journey as we level up our technology to enhance everyday experiences. Your primary focus will be on establishing and managing data products and lifecycle processes to maximize their value for IKEA, and you’ll report to the Data & Analytics Manager. The impact of your work will touch homes and hearts around the world. On a typical day, you will:
• Support the establishment of data products and a lifecycle process to maximize the connected value
• Support initiatives in the Data space in order to maximize the value delivered
• Manage data assets to maximize their value for IKEA
• Drive continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing of data products and their value
• Ensure quality and consistency by supporting the use of relevant development techniques, digital frameworks, and best practices
• Ensure that the insights and conclusions from data products are easily available to other parts of the organization
• Support a culture of data-driven decision making across IKEA organizations
• Work closely together with data scientists, data engineers, architects, analysts, peers, and other relevant roles across IKEA as well as in your team
What we’d like you to bring to the table
The role of Data Product Leader requires you to have:
• Extensive experience in Product Ownership/Management in a complex landscape focusing on Data and Analytics
• Ownership of data products and optimization and management of a data landscape
• Experience in indirectly leading and steering a product team focusing on Data and Analytics
• Experience with deriving value from data by creating data assets, integrations, data as a service, or improving data quality
• Experience with modern development techniques such as Agile methodologies and DevOps
• Strategic thinking and excellent data storytelling skills
• Strong analytical skills combined with being structured and organized
• Good interpersonal communication skills: active listening, coaching, and facilitating
It’s a plus if you also have:
• Experience in designing creative solutions to your colleagues' data needs
• Ability to identify large and small opportunities where data products (existing and not yet existing) could help the organization better reach its goals and work more efficiently
• Ability to naturally and effectively communicate, collaborate, network, and build relationships across a complex organization
• Experience working with technology as a business tool and translating requirements into solutions, balancing user experience, business needs, and IT constraints
• Ability to balance several stakeholders and agendas simultaneously
• Ability to explain the benefits of data products to both non-technical and technical stakeholders
