ABOUT THE ROLE As a Data Engineer at Insera, your primary task will be to build and further develop data warehouses that serve as the foundation for clients' decision support in Insight - Insera's BI system. You will work on retrieving data from various sources, connecting it, creating a good structure, and building logic that ensures the data can be used effectively. You will either work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements or focus more on the technical aspects and data logic behind the scenes – it depends on who you are and what you enjoy most. As a Data Engineer, you will, for example, work on: • Retrieving, processing, and validating data from various systems. • Building and maintaining data warehouses with clear structure and logic. • Working with SQL, integrations, and APIs. • Designing ETL processes and creating data models that support analysis and reporting. • Collaborating with business consultants, developers, and other colleagues in the team. • Contributing suggestions on how data can be enhanced and improved to create more value for the client. You will be part of a smaller team of four people, where you take significant personal responsibility but also prioritize helping your colleagues when needed. Sometimes you will work on multiple projects simultaneously, and other times you will focus on one. Regardless, your role is to ensure that the data is accurate, logical, and usable. WHO ARE YOU? We are looking for someone with a few years of experience working with data and who enjoys practical work in databases. You do not need to be an expert in everything from the start, but you should have an understanding of data logic, structure, and how to create value with data. To thrive in this role, we believe you are analytical, structured, and enjoy solving problems. You are confident and accustomed to driving your own processes and working independently, but you are also a team player who values good collaboration with your colleagues. To thrive in the role, you have: • Excellent knowledge of SQL. • Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures. • Understanding of how to build data models, create keys, and connect data from multiple sources. • Fluent skills in spoken and written Swedish. It is an advantage if you also have experience with: • Decision support systems or BI tools (such as Power BI or Qlik). • Working in client assignments to gather requirements and translate needs into solutions. • ETL processes or data integrations.
