Professionals Nord, in collaboration with our client, is seeking a Customer Software Engineer. Our client is a technology company that develops advanced information systems and customized displays used in critical infrastructure. The company is in a continued growth phase and works with customers both in Sweden and internationally. The role is based at the headquarters in Linköping and is part of the Support and Service team.
In this role, you will work with customer-facing technical support as well as be responsible for software updates and release management—a combination that provides a daily routine with both technical breadth and significant customer dialogue.

Job responsibilities
As a Customer Software Engineer, you will provide technical support while being responsible for the entire flow of software and firmware updates for field-deployed displays. The role involves analyzing technical problems, driving improvements, and planning updates in close collaboration with development, product, and support teams.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Troubleshooting and analyzing complex software-related issues as well as some hardware
• Managing software and firmware updates and the entire release flow
• Planning and communicating updates and timelines with customers, preparing release notes, and ensuring correct delivery
• Collaborating with development and other departments to drive solutions forward
• Reporting and participating in quality investigations and following up on any improvement actions
• Supporting the support and service team with related tasks
We are looking for someone who has:
• Post-secondary education in IT, data, programming, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Several years of experience in IT, support, operations, system management, or similar technical roles
• Experience with release and update processes for software or firmware
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Knowledge of backend programming and databases
• A basic understanding of electronics, circuit theory, or hardware—even at a hobby level
• Good knowledge of Windows and Office
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Previous experience in support work or customer-facing technical roles is an advantage.
