Then this role might be suitable for you. About the Department In your role as a controller, you will belong to the Finance Department in Area 5 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Area 5 focuses on surgery, oncology, operation and intensive care, renal medicine, and dermatology and venereology across twelve operational areas. The area has approximately 3,600 employees and a turnover of over 5 billion kronor. The Finance Department consists of eight controllers and a finance manager. We work closely with operations alongside other staff functions, such as HR, Development, and Operational Units. Work Tasks You will work with 1-2 operations where you will have a decision and process support role within the financial area and work closely with operational managers on strategic and operational issues. You will among other things support work with: - Budget, follow-up, analysis, forecasts, and production plans - Developing key and comparative indicators - Participating in change work, revenue and cost calculations - Being part of the operational area's management group The work is varied and occurs both independently with significant personal responsibility and in teams with other controllers. As a controller at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, you are also expected to contribute to work at a hospital-wide level. About You To thrive in the role, you need to be analytical, have a good ability to draw conclusions, and be able to create a comprehensive overview in a complex work environment involving finance, production, and personnel utilization. You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working independently. The role also involves many contact surfaces and close collaboration with others, which requires that you enjoy teamwork and can communicate financial information to operations in an understandable manner. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Job Requirements We are seeking someone with an academic degree in economics or another relevant direction for this position. You have at least 2 years of experience providing active management support in financial matters. You have excellent skills in Excel and various decision support tools such as Cognos or Power BI.
