The Digitalization IT and MT division was established in January 2020 and provides support and services to the healthcare system in Skåne. The department’s mission is to implement a modern and cohesive digital care environment while also managing the operation and effective consolidation of the current IT environment. This role includes the maintenance and support of existing and upcoming systems and ensuring the operational reliability of Region Skåne's medical technology products (MTP) throughout their life cycle, as well as assisting various operations and partners within Region Skåne with technical expertise and support in medical technology-related matters.
The department is also responsible for fundamental healthcare information systems, driving the development of future healthcare information, and facilitating the work of digitalization and the introduction of new working methods in Region Skåne’s operations.
We are based in our offices at Medicon Village in Lund, although remote work has naturally become a part of our daily routine.

As we are a small unit consisting of four employees and a manager, close collaboration within the team is central to our work culture. We have a high level of trust in one another, supporting and assisting each other in our day-to-day activities. We offer a job where you will work closely with the operations and broadly in financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting.
Our goal is to be a close, service-oriented, and professional support to the operations. Together with the operational managers, you will analyze results and outcomes and develop various decision-making materials. Your work will involve participating in the development work of the operations and providing advice, while representing the financial perspective. The role may also include cross-departmental financial tasks.
As a controller, you will work independently to support operational managers. You will belong to the cross-departmental staff function, finance unit, and report to the head of finance. Here, you will have a vast network and collaborate closely with other controllers and managers within the administration.
Examples of your job responsibilities will include:
We welcome applicants with a university degree in economics or equivalent education/work experience that is deemed comparable. You have previously worked as a controller and/or economist within the public sector. Furthermore, you should possess strong IT skills and very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Additionally, you have experience working with accounting systems such as Raindance and financial management systems like QlikSense. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Previous work experience with change management in financial governance is advantageous.
As a person, you are structured and have a pedagogical approach to explaining financial concepts, with a good understanding of how to communicate information effectively to the right party. You are motivated by delving into details while being capable of stepping back to see the whole area of operations and its possibilities. Moreover, you possess strong analytical and solution-focused abilities, allowing you to challenge and support as the situation demands, always with regard to the organization’s goals.

This task includes the management and support of existing and upcoming systems. Medical technology (MT) also works with services, maintenance, procurement, and in-house manufacturing of medical equipment.
The department is also responsible for foundational healthcare information systems and drives the development of future healthcare information. We are approximately 350 employees within the department and operate in all hospital areas in Skåne, with our headquarters in Lund.
