About this role

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager who will be a key person in the financial work of the care and social services administration and in the development of our processes. About the workplace The Finance and Management unit is located in the beautiful Maria Park in northern Helsingborg. We currently have 15 employees in finance working with accounting, fees, invoice management, financial monitoring, analysis, budgeting, purchasing, and operational management. Job responsibilities As the Accounting Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the administration's accounting and financial processes. You will work closely with the operations and provide support to both colleagues and managers. In the role of controller, you will coordinate and ensure the quality of the department's various processes from a financial perspective. You will also be the system administrator for the financial system Unit4 and responsible for its various modules. As the system manager, you will handle the budgeting module, code plan, permissions, approval rights, and integrations. You will also be responsible for compilations and act as a requester during organizational changes. Your responsibilities include overall accountability for ongoing accounting, year-end closing, forecasts, monitoring, and analysis. You will report to Statistics Sweden (SCB), including financial summaries and performance registers, and manage VAT reporting and certain customer invoicing. You will perform internal control and quality assurance of financial processes. Additionally, the role involves being the contact person for the city management administration, HR service center, finance department, and auditors. You will also be one of our process leaders for operational management and provide support to managers in planning and follow-up. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in finance. You have solid knowledge in accounting, budgeting, and year-end closing work. You have documented experience working with financial systems, preferably in the role of system administrator. We would like you to have a good understanding of public financial management, budgeting processes, and accounting principles. Your personal qualities are important to us You are structured, analytical, and capable of seeing the big picture. You work independently but also enjoy collaborating and supporting others. With your communicative and pedagogical skills, you can make finance understandable for different target groups. You take responsibility, are solution-oriented, and contribute to the development and improvement of working methods.
