The Finance Department belongs to the municipal management administration and provides qualified financial support to all municipal departments. The department includes controllers, accounting, and financial management. We are 12 employees in the centralized finance department. You have the opportunity for hybrid work where you can combine on-site and remote work. Your Responsibilities In the role of controller focused on the community development department, you will have the opportunity to take on a new and developing role within the municipality, with a focus on governance, analysis, and development. You will primarily support the planning and development department, which is responsible for the municipality's planning and exploitation activities. In this role, you will contribute to steering both projects and departments towards set goals, budgets, and timelines. You will be an important support to project managers in economic matters such as follow-up, forecasts, key performance indicators, and calculations. You will also serve as a qualified support to several managers in working with operational and investment budgets, and assist with other financial issues. The work will be done in close collaboration with finance colleagues who also support the technology and community development administration, as well as with department managers and project leaders. You will report to the Finance Manager. Your responsibilities include, among other things: - Responsibility for the financial management process at the planning and development department Budgeting and follow-up of department activities Development of processes for exploitation activities Participation in steering groups for exploitation projects in the preparatory phase Collaboration with operations, such as water and sewage, linked to the planning and development department's areas of responsibility Qualifications - Relevant academic education for the assignment or equivalent work experience - Experience with similar work tasks - Very good communication skills in Swedish, experience with both external and internal communication - The work requires good knowledge of Excel - Driver's license (B-class) It is meritorious if you have experience with project management systems, such as Antura, and the management system Stratsys.
