What you do matters. **Your Role** As an image processing engineer with us, you will be a central part of an innovative team working with advanced machine learning and classical image processing. Our application areas include drones, missiles, sights, and even civilian applications. This gives you the opportunity to work on truly exciting and technically advanced projects. Our technical expertise covers the entire chain, from system design and sensor development to software development for camera systems in both the visual and infrared (IR) spectrum. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape future technologies, and your expertise will be crucial in solving complex challenges and driving innovation forward. Many of our projects develop embedded systems, which places high demands on real-time performance, making the work both challenging and rewarding. The role offers great flexibility and variety, allowing you to work across multiple product areas and take on tasks that match your interests and strengths. There is the opportunity to contribute throughout the entire development chain, from concept and requirements phase to verification of finished systems. In some assignments, you will also have considerable customer contact. Your tasks may include: * Developing new image-based seekers * Machine learning applications for drones * Conducting pilot studies to explore new technologies and business opportunities * Implementing, optimizing, and testing image processing algorithms Our strength lies in our flexibility, where we can offer stimulating tasks as well as development opportunities in several areas. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for specific citizenship. **Your Profile** We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in image processing and machine learning who enjoys close collaboration with colleagues. You are curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable with varying tasks. We would like you to have: * A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical physics, computer engineering, or equivalent, preferably with a focus on image processing or machine learning * Good knowledge of C/C++ and software development in a Linux environment, and/or good knowledge of optronic sensors and optics, as well as experience with Python * Proficiency in Swedish and English **What You Will Be Part Of** Discover endless possibilities.
