About this role

SJR is now recruiting a Collection Agent for a rapidly growing fintech company located in central Stockholm. This is a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or direct employment with our client thereafter. **About the Position** As a Collection Agent, you will be part of the pre-collection team. The pre-collection team's task is to prevent steps in the collection process by contacting customers with overdue invoices, where the case has not yet been handed over to a collection agency. Your goal is to avoid formal collection by securing voluntary payments or agreements. In your role as Collection Agent, you will manage customer cases related to payments and collections, including customer contact, case administration, and follow-up on payment solutions. You will handle customer inquiries via phone and email regarding unpaid/overdue claims and provide advisory support by setting up payment plans with customers. **Responsibilities** Your main tasks will include: - Sending reminders via phone, email, or SMS about overdue invoices. - Offering payment plans or other solutions that fit the customer's financial situation. - Engaging in dialogue with the customer to understand the reasons for missed payments and find a solution. - Follow-up and documentation. **Suitable Background** We prefer candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in collections/pre-collection/debt management or the credit industry is desirable. Experience with outbound customer contacts or as a customer representative is a plus. You should be computer literate and comfortable working with various systems. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is required.
