Your Role
Are you an experienced CNC technician and/or CAM preparer with a solid background in creating your own programs both online and offline? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of product and production? Would you like to be part of developing tomorrow's production systems?
In your role as a CNC technician, you will work on the development of production documentation for our controlled manufacturing equipment in turning and milling. In addition to programming, you will also work with machining methods and fixture methods. Cost estimation work may also be involved. The materials you will be processing are primarily composite materials with carbon fiber or fiberglass.
You will be part of the Production Engineering Preparation team in Malmslätt, which is responsible for Saab Dynamics' preparation and industrialization in composite manufacturing.
The team has a broad knowledge base in various areas that complement each other. You will continuously work on standardization and method development to stay at the forefront of our machining processes.
You will be offered a varied job with a lot of personal responsibility. As a CNC technician, you will engage in dialogue with production engineers, designers, tool designers, and operators to ensure that programs, machining, and fixtures promote efficient production work.
The location for this position is Saab Dynamics in Malmslätt.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with prior experience in production engineering or workshop experience related to machining.
You have a technical education background and strong production engineering skills. The role of CNC technician requires collaboration with the design department, workshop, and other departments within Saab. Therefore, you should be outgoing, driven, and accustomed to taking initiative. Good English language skills and strong computer proficiency are required.
Other desirable qualifications:
- Experience in CNC programming
- Knowledge of Catia and Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM systems
- Broad workshop training or workshop experience
- Experience in processing composite materials
- Good product knowledge
As a person, you are proactive, good at communicating, and have a desire for continuous improvement. You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and are not afraid of new challenges. We are looking for someone with a technical interest, who is meticulous and has experience in mechanical design. You are solution-oriented, self-driven, and curious about new technologies while also enjoying collaboration with others.
