Medborgarskolan – where interest becomes knowledge
Medborgarskolan is one of Sweden's leading study associations that actively works to promote democracy and diversity by offering education and training. All our activities are developed and implemented based on our core value of humanism. We do this by placing the individual at the center, believing in development through collaboration and the intrinsic value of knowledge, as well as through mutual respect. We aim to contribute to the development of independent, courageous individuals. We believe in each employee's unique potential to contribute to the organization's growth and actively work to create individual opportunities for continuous development. We have a strong desire and drive to be at the forefront of creating tomorrow's learning.
Your role as a course leader
Being a leader at Medborgarskolan is a stimulating and creative job. You will meet positive and engaged course participants who are eager to learn more. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and your interests by leading others. It is important to create a good collaborative environment, be pedagogical, and have strong subject knowledge in what you teach. Having a background in pedagogy is an advantage but not a requirement. What matters is that you are passionate about your subject and have the willingness to share your knowledge. We plan the course together, and as a course leader, you are expected to create a work plan in consultation with your contact person.
We are investing in and expanding our language program
You should have good knowledge of Spanish and experience in teaching the language. You have a friendly demeanor, enjoy taking responsibility, sharing your knowledge with others, and being organized. Please describe your certification and your qualifications in your application.
What we can offer you
We offer you a stimulating part-time job for a few hours per week. Daytime, evening, or weekend hours are available. The courses are offered physically at our premises on Fabriksgatan in Örebro. You will receive hourly compensation for the assignment as well as other developmental benefits for course leaders. You will work independently on planning the course but with support from your contact person at Medborgarskolan. This position is not a full-time job but should be viewed as supplementary income. You will be involved in the planning process and can influence the scheduling. We operate under a collective agreement, the circle leader agreement, and the employment form is a project-based employment.
Medborgarskolan is a study association with a wide range of courses and has extensive collaboration with associations and groups in many different subjects. Participants come from all ages and have diverse backgrounds and interests.
