ABOUT THE ROLE As Chief Architect, you will work alongside our cross-functional development teams, both in Linköping and internationally. The focus is to improve what we develop in our daily work, how we develop it, and generally how we handle everything related to software development at MaintMaster. You will also work closely with our CPO and CTO and play a key role in defining and guiding the teams towards our overall product vision. At MaintMaster, you will work with the latest technologies in areas such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and SaaS, but (surprise!) also, to some extent, with legacy systems. This may involve older code that needs to be maintained in the best possible way or gradually transformed, given what is feasible versus desirable. Depending on scope, user needs, and the state of the code, you will be an important decision-maker in how we design our software and address the challenges that arise! QUALIFICATIONS To fit and thrive in the role, we believe you will identify with the following: - A relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge in software development - Comfortable working with both front-end and back-end, databases, and related infrastructure - Strategic mindset - Passionate about helping teams succeed - Documented leadership ability, though not necessarily with personnel responsibility - Excellent communication skills - Very good proficiency in both Swedish and English It is advantageous if you have: - Experience with modern CI and CD solutions - Experience with AI, machine learning, and/or Business Intelligence - Experience working in B2B SaaS businesses WHO YOU ARE We believe you are an excellent communicator and leader with a strong background in software development and architecture. You are neither a "PowerPoint architect" nor someone who immerses themselves in the codebase at a detailed level and works alone to solve problems.
