Read more about our workplace here: Our Workplace | Svenska kraftnät (svk.se) About the Position Svenska kraftnät plays a very central role in the transformation of the power system and has a significant responsibility for a critical infrastructure and the power system as a whole. Since 2019, we have been in a growth phase with a substantial scaling up of operations. The transformation of the power system coincides with a time of extensive reinvestment needs and enhancements, which means that the pace of development is high and expectations from the outside world are very large. The Grid Division has the overall responsibility to build and manage a cost-effective, reliable, and environmentally adapted power transmission system in a business-like manner. This means that the division is responsible for the management and maintenance of Svenska kraftnät's facilities. Additionally, the Grid Division is responsible for implementing facility investments and ensuring the permits and accessibility required to establish and maintain Svenska kraftnät's facilities. The division has approximately 600 employees and consists of six departments, 11 sections, and 54 units. To support the division manager in further developing the operations and to ensure that the organization meets our and society's high goals, we are seeking a Chief Strategist to be responsible for, among other things: • Controlling both line and project management activities with a focus on cost-effectiveness, lead times, and socio-economic benefits. • Strategic management of both the organization and projects, as well as the management of both facilities and operational IT solutions. • Coaching and supporting complex projects and participating in steering group work. • Developing and being responsible for governance models for the operations. About You We are looking for a leader who builds trust and leads by example. You have a clear delivery and efficiency perspective and experience coordinating groups, working cross-functionally across the organization, and being a good reference point for others. You need to ensure that colleagues and employees have the information required for us to effectively reach our common goals. The work also requires you to have a strategic outlook and the ability to work with the bigger picture in mind. In the recruitment process, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree, such as a Master of Business Administration or Master of Science in Engineering. Other requirements for the position: • Extensive experience (at least ten years) working at a strategic level with a focus as a strategic controller or equivalent. • Experience in strategic management and follow-up of both the organization and line operations, as well as projects and management of both facilities and operational IT solutions. • Experience with responsibility for operations with result accountability. • Documented experience in leading through other managers and experts. • Good knowledge of the energy sector and facility operations. • Strong ability to express oneself verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English. Meritorious: • Experience working in both public authorities and the private sector. • Experience working in an organization undergoing significant growth. • Experience working in large organizations.
