Chief Secretary TO THE WESTERN MILITARY REGION
THE WESTERN MILITARY REGION (MR V) is a military unit located with its headquarters in Skövde. The staff consists of continuously serving officers and civilians. In times of heightened readiness, the staff is supplemented with temporarily serving personnel.
The commander of the Western Military Region with the regional staff leads land territorial operations, collaborates with regional and local actors, directs security and intelligence services, and develops and maintains home guard units in the region. MR V encompasses Halland, Västra Götaland, Värmland, and Örebro counties.

As Chief Secretary MR V, you will be placed in the staff department but will also work closely with the commander of the Western Military Region and the unit leadership.
Main responsibilities as Chief Secretary
As Chief Secretary, you will help create the flow and logistics around the commander of MR V, who is constantly on the move, which requires you to be detail-oriented while also having the ability to see the bigger picture. You will be the linchpin for order and organization. It is essential that you are service-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused. You will work proactively to anticipate future developments and act accordingly. You will also support the unit leadership with both administrative and practical tasks. Your role requires you to easily build and maintain relationships, as collaboration is significant for MR V. Additionally, you should be prepared to handle various matters within the staff department, as we strive to support each other as a team. The position involves some travel within the region.
• Coordination and planning of the calendar with meetings and bookings
• Administrative support in preparing documents, proofreading, and taking minutes
• Coordinate, plan, and document activities, such as ceremonies, representation, and closures
• Responsible for administration and booking of travel and venues
• Other administrative support to the unit leadership
• Participate in the unit's leadership group
Qualifications
• Completed upper secondary education
• Several years of relevant experience in an administrative and service-oriented role as executive support
• B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Swedish citizenship
Meritorious
• Previous employment in the Armed Forces
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Proficient in Office programs

Permanent employment, CVAT, military placement, and an adapted military training for civilians.
The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Start date by agreement.
The workplace is Skövde, and business trips with overnight stays may occur.
