Chief Test Engineer - Marine Verification and Validation We are seeking a Chief Test Engineer who wants to help drive our testing operations in marine verification and validation forward. About the Position As Chief Test Engineer in the Test and Evaluation (T&E) business area, you will contribute expert competence in your technical field and actively participate in planning, implementation, and follow-up of verification and validation (V&V) activities in marine projects. The role involves close collaboration with V&V responsible personnel, clients, and project managers to ensure high quality in methodology, execution, and results of testing operations. You will actively participate in developing test plans, programs, and reports, engage in risk assessments and analysis work, and contribute to final presentations and experience feedback. A crucial part of the assignment is maintaining and developing V&V methods and processes within Marine T&E and supporting projects in all V&V work phases. The position may also involve solving tasks in related areas based on your expertise. The position is located in Karlskrona. Travel is common in this role, primarily within Sweden. About You We are seeking someone with a university engineering degree or defense engineering degree with a marine technical orientation in areas such as machinery, electrical power, or vehicle technology, or equivalent education. You have experience developing technical systems in the marine sector and extensive experience in verification and validation. You possess advanced technical knowledge of marine systems, preferably in one of the following areas: • Radar technology • Sensor technology • Command systems • Ship systems The position requires good Swedish and English skills and the ability to work systematically and collaborate in technically complex environments. It is meritorious if you have system safety training and experience in marine operations, especially in verification and validation (V&V). We view positively experience in cross-domain activities such as marine, command support, or aviation systems, as well as international collaboration. Additional competence in Systems Engineering (ISO 15288), knowledge of maritime safety systems in military or civilian shipping, and/or familiarity with the Swedish Armed Forces' material procurement process are also advantageous.
