🚀 The Role
As Head of Quality & Compliance, you will ensure that Baltic develops and maintains a level of quality and compliance that meets our own ambitions – to be the best in the industry.
You will build a culture where quality and innovation are integral parts of daily operations and ensure that regulations and standards are not only followed but used as a foundation for development and competitive advantages.
You will report to the COO and work closely with product development, purchasing, logistics, sales, and management in Älgarås, as well as with our European production units. The role is based in Älgarås, with the possibility of some work in Gothenburg.
🔑 Your Responsibilities
• Ensure that Baltic meets requirements according to ISO 9001, PPE, CE, and other relevant standards.
• Further develop and be responsible for the quality management system (Tahoe).
• Manage the company's product certification in collaboration with external testing and certification bodies.
• Lead internal audits.
• Drive and develop deviation management, complaint procedures, and process improvements.
• Educate and engage the organization in quality and compliance issues.
• Have the authority to halt production in case of critical quality deviations.
Who Are You?
Requirements
• Education and documented experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience in driving certification processes (e.g., CE, PPE, ISO 12402).
• Knowledge of product certification and complaint and deviation management.
• Experience with internal audits.
• Good understanding of EU regulations, PPE directives, and CE marking.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Experience of coaching quality work in organizations with growing process maturity.
Preferred Qualifications
• University degree in relevant fields (e.g., quality engineering, industrial economics, production, or materials technology).
• Knowledge of ISO 12402 and PPE modules B, D, and E.
• Industry experience with safety products or other safety-critical operations.
• Familiarity with QMS tools.
• Experience in international production and value chains.
