About this role
We are now seeking two Chief Engineers with experience and strong commitment to quality assuring and developing the technical design of current and future military aviation systems in Sweden.
About the Positions
Common to both positions, as a Chief Engineer, you will work with technical development of new and existing aircraft material systems, as well as analysis and interpretation of the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements and regulations. This makes you an important part of method and process development for FMV's technical work in the aviation sector. Furthermore, you will contribute to technical synchronization and co-functionality at higher system levels within air and space domains. Additional tasks include:
Supporting, advising, and training the parts of the organization that carry out production. You will review and consult on technical documents to verify that established requirements are met, and serve as an advisor to the Technical Director of Air & Space regarding your area of responsibility. Other investigative and analytical work and tasks may be added to support and relieve the organization.
One position also includes participating in various types of investigative work regarding operational deviations and incidents within the military aviation area. In this role, you will act as a substitute for the Technical Director of Air & Space in individual cases/decisions and make decisions on delegation.
The other position involves directing and steering the product and material data area for the entire air and space domain, as well as coordinating various technical issues common to several of the Swedish Armed Forces' air and space systems.
The overall purpose of both positions is to be part of the leadership of Systems Engineering to ensure that air and space material systems and service products developed, acquired, and delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces meet all established requirements to function in the Armed Forces' operational environment throughout the entire lifecycle.
The positions are located in Stockholm. Travel for work is included, both domestic and international.
