Your Duties
As Department Head, you are responsible for the department's operations, resources, and results. You lead the department with support from a management group that includes chamber chiefs. You have personnel responsibility for the chamber chiefs in the department's management group and an overall work environment responsibility for the entire department. As Department Head, you report directly to the Director of Public Prosecution and are part of the Prosecution Authority's management team, where you contribute to the strategic work of the agency.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Responsibility for the department's operations, budget, and follow-up
- Responsibility for resource allocation within the department
- Overall responsibility for case distribution within the department
- Overall work environment responsibility
- Personnel responsibility for chamber chiefs within the department
- Establishing routines for department operations
- Participating in the agency's central management group
- Responsibility for the agency's activities at Eurojust in The Hague and overall responsibility for international operational issues
- Responsibility for collaboration with the Police National Operational Department
- Expected to regularly serve in locations where the National Prosecution Department is located
Your Qualities and Qualifications
We Are Seeking Someone Who:
- Has well-documented, solid experience in management and leadership as a chamber chief
- Has solid experience in operational prosecution work
- Has completed the Prosecution Authority's leadership training or equivalent leadership training
- Has good ability to collaborate with other agencies and organizations
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

- Well-documented experience leading through subordinate managers
- Well-documented experience working with strategic issues at an organizational level
- Well-documented experience in implementing and anchoring strategic issues in the operations they lead

About the Assignment
You will be employed as a Chief Prosecutor based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö. The Department Head assignment is time-limited to six years with the possibility of extension for three years at a time.
