Are you a driven editorial leader who wants to help shape the future of one of Sweden's most esteemed daily newspapers? Norrköpings Tidningar is now seeking an editor-in-chief who is eager to develop local journalism. Norrköpings Tidningar combines agenda-setting journalism with swift coverage of events. We succeed in producing journalism that makes a difference for people, have advanced our work in covering current events, and have made significant strides in new publishing formats. We are now looking for an editor-in-chief and responsible publisher who will actively and inspiringly lead Norrköpings Tidningar's ongoing editorial work. You are passionate about free speech, understand the importance of local journalism, know how to engage readers, and want to work closely with your team to achieve this. The mission includes: - Leading the editorial work both strategically and operationally towards set goals. - Being the responsible publisher. - Ensuring that the content is of high quality and relevant to our users. - Developing content for users with our publishing strategies as support. - Representing Norrköpings Tidningar in external contexts. - Having responsibility for personnel, budget, and work environment. Within the editorial team, there are currently departments for sports, news, investigative journalism, and we have editorial offices in Norrköping, Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik. We publish in audio, video, images, and text, primarily adapted for digital publication. We act based on analyses of reader behavior in both strategies and immediate news situations. In the editorial team, you will work with experienced and curious colleagues and managers who are passionate about engaging their readers across various channels. As editor-in-chief, you will also be responsible for NTM Desk, where four positions cover a larger monitoring area for several of NTM's titles, primarily during evenings and nights. Collaboration within the group NTM encompasses 16 titles with a wide geographical spread, from Norrbotten to Småland and across to Gotland. One of NTM's strengths is working together to inspire each other and create internal synergies – and this will benefit you as editor-in-chief. To succeed in this role, we see that you are a clear leader. You are goal-oriented and results-driven, have a strong ability to build relationships, spread engagement, and are clear about the direction of the organization. You are a confident publisher. You have extensive experience in journalistic work in a leadership position. You have documented leadership skills and experience in driving change initiatives. You have a good understanding of the media landscape's development.
