About the Unit
The Naval Warfare School (SSS) supports the naval units with training, development, and exercises. At SSS, training is conducted that includes support for position training for soldiers and sailors, basic officer training (officer program and specialist as well as reserve officer training), higher specialist officer training (HSOU), and vocational and position training for employed personnel. The focus of SSS's activities is on the naval units' ability to engage in armed combat.
The Section for Learning Support and Pedagogical Development (LPU) aims to ensure that the Navy's education meets the actual needs of the naval units effectively and serves as a piece of the puzzle in building a modern school. LPU will work to create conditions for student learning, the quality of education, and teachers' professional skills. Your workplace is located within the naval base in Karlskrona.
Main Responsibilities
As section manager, you will be responsible for driving and coordinating work within:
• Library and study support
• Online learning
• Higher education pedagogy and pedagogical development
In this role, you will have personnel responsibility and lead a team of employees with high competence in pedagogy and digital learning. Together with your team, you will develop pedagogical methods and build networks within the Armed Forces, academia, and other authorities. You will organize and drive development work within the education sector and create conditions for modern, effective, and purposeful forms of education.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Academic degree in at least one of the section's areas of responsibility or equivalent education/work experience that the employer deems relevant
• Current and documented experience in leadership with personnel responsibility
• Relevant experience in organizing and leading pedagogical development work
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English
• B driver's license (manual transmission)

Meritorious
• Experience working in a line organization and networking in larger organizations or authorities
• Completed courses in the Armed Forces' leadership model and/or UGL, UL, IL
• Experience from the Armed Forces, particularly the Navy

Employment Type: The position is a civilian employment at 100% with a 40-hour workweek. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

The Naval Warfare School, SSS, trains officers, specialist officers, sailors, and soldiers at all levels. SSS also conducts studies, trials, and leadership training for ship crews, as well as tactical and technical development within the maritime field.
