JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you'll work on a complex and important societal mission where you can make a difference. You'll join a workplace that values societal responsibility, participation, and commitment. As a leader, you'll help your employees equip our clients to manage a life without crime and drugs, what we call "Better Out".
As a manager, you'll lead, develop, and follow up on operations, providing daily support to your employees. The role includes personnel, budget, and workplace environment responsibilities for approximately 25 employees.
You will report directly to the Probation Chief and be part of the management team. You are expected to collaborate with colleagues and share responsibility for your own and, if necessary, your colleagues' units. The management team provides a crucial platform for your leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS

You remain calm and professional in challenging situations and can adapt to changing circumstances. In your professional role, you have an analytical perspective, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive developmental and change processes within one of the world's best correctional systems. You understand how background, culture, and group affiliation impact oneself and others.
We seek candidates with:
• Academic Degree
• Well-documented Management Experience
• Excellent Swedish Language Skills (spoken and written)
• Driver's License (Category B)
Additional Merits Include:
• Prison Service Management Development Program or Other Leadership Program
• Management Experience (personnel, workplace environment, and budget responsibility)
• Experience in Public Authority, Preferably within the Legal Chain
• Relevant Experience in Public Administration
• Experience in Prison and Probation Service, Preferably across Multiple Areas
• Current Experience with Probation Service Work Methods
• Current Knowledge of Probation Service Legislation
• Excellent Knowledge of Security-Related Issues
