The Security operational area leads and coordinates Lantmäteriet's activities related to security, protective security, and emergency preparedness legislation, and will be your workplace.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a unit manager within Security and Emergency Preparedness, you will have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating the work within the unit. The role includes operational and personnel responsibility for approximately 15 employees.
The Security and Emergency Preparedness unit is responsible for coordinating overarching issues regarding security, protective security, information security, and emergency preparedness within Lantmäteriet. The unit's mission includes providing internal agency support by developing and revising frameworks, designing training and informational materials, and collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders within the operational area’s responsibilities. The role also involves monitoring the agency's work and conducting internal oversight within the area.
As a unit manager, you are expected to drive change by creating conditions for participation and good communication. You will report to the operational area manager for Security and will be part of their management team alongside the unit manager for Property and Office Support.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with leadership experience that includes personnel responsibility, and it is advantageous if your leadership has involved cross-organizational governance, support, and monitoring/oversight. Experience in public sector leadership is also considered a merit.
You have a relevant higher education degree or equivalent work experience. The position also requires a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Experience working with total defense issues and experience in planning and development for emergency preparedness authorities is a requirement for the role.
It is advantageous if you have experience in information security work, including protective security within information security. Similarly, experience in protective security, such as physical security and personnel security, is also a merit.

To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible and have a solution-oriented approach. You should also be open and interested in developing and adapting the operations based on current and future conditions.
The position is security classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen and that a security clearance with a background check and security interview will be conducted before employment.
Lantmäteriet is an emergency preparedness authority, and as an employee, you will be assigned to the agency in case of war.
The nature of the work requires that the position is located at the headquarters in Gävle.
