Property Operations Manager

We are looking for someone who is ready for the challenge of leading employees and operations as a First Line Manager in our property management in Kalmar. You will be responsible, together with the unit's employees, for carrying out oversight, maintenance, and corrective actions on the properties of Region Kalmar County in Kalmar, Nybro, Emmaboda, Torsås, and Öland. In this role, you will have personnel responsibility for 22 individuals, the majority of whom are technicians and operations engineers from various disciplines. Together, you will develop the operations towards common goals. You will have financial responsibility for your part of the organization, report to the base unit manager, and be a part of the management team at Regionfastigheter. The position may require a security clearance. About You We are looking for candidates who have a relevant higher education and/or several years of experience in a leadership role, preferably with qualified operational issues in a larger organization. To succeed in this position, it is important that you feel comfortable in the role of leader and have the ability to create participation and engagement among your employees. You are attentive with a keen interest in guiding others toward achieving the best possible solutions based on set goals. In your communication, you are clear and ensure that your message is understood. Through planning, prioritization, and follow-up, you create structure in your work both for yourself and for the team you lead. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for this position. Your Future Workplace At the property management team at the county hospital in Kalmar, a total of 36 employees work under two operations managers. The mission of property management is to oversee the operations and maintenance of Region Kalmar County's complex buildings and equipment. We work with advanced technology, which is a significant part of today’s healthcare. The base unit, Regionfastigheter, has locations in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik. This includes property management, maintenance, and technically related services. We work on new, renovation, and extension projects and are responsible for all phases of the construction process. The property portfolio consists of approximately 200 buildings with a total area of approximately 400,000 square meters.
