About this role
**Head of Production Logistics at SSAB in Finspång!**
SSAB is now seeking a determined and development-oriented head of production logistics who wants to help shape the future. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for leading, planning, and developing the operations within production logistics, focusing on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future and sustainability of our planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we take pride in our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a vital role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
**About the Position**
As the head of production logistics, you will be responsible for leading, planning, and developing operations within warehousing, logistics, and production planning. You will ensure efficient production optimization, high delivery reliability, and optimized resource utilization throughout the chain—from incoming materials, production to delivery.
The role includes responsibility for production and transport planning based on capacity and material availability, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving improvement work within safety, quality, and efficiency. You will also be responsible for inbound and outbound warehousing in Finspång and Norrköping, transport planning, as well as contracts and follow-up with transporters. You will work closely with colleagues in other parts of the organization to coordinate deliveries and create stable production flows. The role also involves personnel responsibility and developing employees and working methods in line with SSAB's values and goals.
You will have budget and financial responsibility and ensure that laws, agreements, and SSAB's policies are followed. You will actively work towards a culture characterized by safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
**About You**
We are looking for someone with solid experience in production logistics within industry or manufacturing. You are a confident and clear leader who enjoys combining strategic responsibility with operational presence, and you have the ability to create structure and clarity even in complex flows. You have experience in personnel management and are accustomed to developing both people and working methods to create an engaged team focused on collaboration, quality, and improvements. You work analytically and data-driven, with a good understanding of production flows, planning systems, and logistics tools. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
As a person, you are solution-oriented, communicative, and development-focused. You thrive in a role where you can influence, take initiative, and drive improvements forward. With a structured and curious approach, you see the big picture, find sustainable solutions, and motivate others to think innovatively.
You have a strong personal drive and are also attentive and inclusive as a leader. You enjoy collaborating and creating engagement within the team, but you are also willing to challenge established working methods when you see potential for development.
