About this role
National Security Advisor's Organization, Government Offices
Do you want to take a central leadership role with responsibility for management support and coordination in national security - and if needed, replace the National Security Advisor? We offer the right person an exciting and important leadership assignment.
Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.
As Head of Management Support, you will lead, in close collaboration with the National Security Advisor, the joint planning and coordination work for the offices operating under the Security Advisor. You will prioritize and coordinate information, documentation, and commitments in daily operations and maintain the process for operational planning.
A central part of the assignment is to coordinate preparations for National Security Council meetings - from requests and compilation of documentation to implementation, documentation, and follow-up. You will ensure structure and governance in office-wide issues and develop appropriate collaboration formats with the Government Offices and relevant departments.
The work is characterized by close dialogue with the National Security Advisor and offices under the Security Advisor, the Prime Minister's staff, and other involved parties within the Government Offices. Ongoing collaboration with the Crisis Management Chief and other Chancellery Chiefs in the NSR organization is particularly important. You will represent the organization in multiple forums - internally, externally, and internationally.
The role involves replacing the National Security Advisor in internal and external contexts when needed.
Management Support consists of a Deputy Head and five employees whom you will lead and develop.

Additionally, you have several years of qualified experience working with defense, foreign, or security policy, and experience coordinating issues in foreign, defense, and security policy areas.
You have excellent knowledge of the Government Offices' working methods, decision-making processes, and the regulations governing them. You also have good knowledge of security protection, operational protection, crisis management issues, and intelligence activities. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of foreign policy and Swedish security policy, and insight into working in a politically governed organization.
It is meritorious if you have worked in a management group for a large organization with complex coordination tasks, have experience working with internal security, and have worked across multiple departments.
Your Characteristics
As a leader, you have a holistic view and communicate overarching goals, involve others early, and promote collaboration for unified leadership. You drive the development of operations and work environment, lead change with courage, and encourage learning and development initiatives while developing your own competence and leadership.
