Probation Services Stockholm City covers the municipalities of Stockholm and Ekerö. Here, approximately 200 employees and ten managers work with clients who are conditionally released, sentenced to supervised probation, community service, youth supervision, or monitored with electronic ankle bracelets. We also conduct personal investigations and run various treatment programs. We are located at Tegeluddsvägen 31 in newly established office premises, close to subway and bus lines, with access to a gym, roof terrace, and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking someone who will be responsible for our control group, consisting of nearly 20 probation officers and a coordinator. Probation officers staff the reception and manage secure entry control. They also follow up on clients under electronic monitoring, which includes home and workplace visits. As head of the control group, you have both an operational and strategic role, and it is important that you can quickly switch between different tasks and adapt when necessary. The position is closely tied to operations and includes making decisions about clients, handling staffing and scheduling issues, and supporting your employees in our complex mission. You lead, develop, and follow up on operations and have personnel, budget, and workplace environment responsibilities. You are part of the management team, where the probation service manager, your fellow managers, and support functions in personnel and performance tracking provide an important platform for your leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who is good at collaboration, unpretentious, and able to create engagement and participation. You are clear in your communication and can adapt your message to the recipient's conditions. In your leadership role, you can motivate others and create the conditions required to effectively achieve common goals. You work well with complex issues and thrive when taking initiative and starting activities. In challenging situations, you are flexible in your actions and remain calm and professional.
We are seeking someone who has:
• Academic education or other education combined with work experience
• Management experience (personnel, workplace environment, and budget responsibility)
• Excellent Swedish, both spoken and written
The following are considered meritorious:
• Experience managing probation officers
• Management experience working with incarcerated individuals at an employer other than the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Knowledge/experience in staffing and scheduling issues
For us, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in human will and ability to develop. You are aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute through your approach to ensuring everyone is treated equally. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Interviews will be conducted in Liljeholmen on December 18.
