We are now seeking a strategic, values-driven, and operationally-focused CFO who wants to strengthen our financial governance and contribute to a Mimer that balances business acumen with social responsibility. **About the Role** As CFO, you will have overall responsibility for Mimer's financial strategy, governance, and long-term planning efforts. You will be part of the management team and a central advisor to the CEO and the board. In addition to Finance, you will also oversee IT and Procurement, which will be part of your organization. In close collaboration with Västerås city's internal bank, you will drive issues related to financing, interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital structure. You will lead Mimer's financial work at a strategic level and work closely with our operational CFO, who is responsible for accounting, financial closing, and administration. You will develop governance models and decision-making materials that connect finance, operations, and sustainability – creating conditions for Mimer to take responsibility economically, socially, and environmentally. **Typical Responsibilities** - Lead Mimer's strategic financial governance and develop planning processes - Be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and reporting to the CEO and board - Conduct and ensure quality in financial analyses, key performance indicators, and scenario planning - Serve as the strategic contact person with Västerås city's internal bank on financing and liquidity issues - Initiate and review investment calculations, business analyses, and property economic assessments - Integrate sustainability perspectives into financial models and decision-making materials - Ensure that Mimer meets requirements within the EU taxonomy, green financing, and climate-related reporting - Participate in the company's digitalization steering group and develop the finance function's digital working methods - Develop reporting that makes both financial and social benefits clear and understandable **Who Are We Looking For?** - An academic degree in industrial economics, finance, or business administration - Solid experience as a CFO, finance manager, or in another leading financial role in a larger organization - Experience working in or closely with politically governed organizations - Analytical, strategic, and comfortable in the intersection of finance, sustainability, and business development - Ability to create structure, improve processes, and lead change initiatives in a digital landscape - Capability to balance efficiency, long-term thinking, and social benefit - Experience supporting strategic decisions related to IT, Procurement, Legal, and Information Security is advantageous - Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written You are a strategic and analytical person who enjoys working in complex contexts and can easily see the bigger picture behind numbers, operations, and societal missions. As a leader, you are confident, unpretentious, and create clarity and engagement around you. You possess a communicative and pedagogical ability that allows you to translate financial reasoning into understandable and relevant information – both internally and externally.
