About this role

We are now seeking someone with experience in the manufacturing industry who wants to drive system design work forward at a central level. About the Position As a system leader within the research and development unit, you will become part of the strategic material management department at FMV's management and finance staff. The department has overall responsibility for FMV's system management and design responsibility, which involves coordinating and directing the development of technical systems throughout their lifecycle to deliver cost-effective, functional, and feasible solutions to the Swedish Armed Forces. The work is conducted with a holistic perspective, taking into account industrial, international, and political conditions. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing system management, primarily in the capability concept phase at the agency level. You will work closely with the Swedish Armed Forces to develop governance documents, strategic choices, and foundational materials, primarily within the capability concept phase. The work involves analyzing documentation, steering and supporting designated operational areas, and contributing to the unit reaching its operational goals by delivering assignments on time, with the right quality, and within given frameworks. You will play a crucial role in driving long-term planning and development related to capability concepts, as well as identifying and directing research and technology development issues within your area. Part of the assignment also involves building and maintaining relationships with other agencies and key suppliers. The position is located in Stockholm. About You We are seeking someone with a degree as a civil or university engineer, or a degree in economics, national economics, or equivalent military education, or competence we deem comparable. You should have several years of professional experience in system design work and relevant, current experience in the manufacturing industry. To succeed in the role, it is necessary to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have training in system lifecycle management, for example according to ISO15288, and training in Systems Engineering. We would also like you to have knowledge of NATO AAP-20 and AAP-48. Experience working in projects, collaborating and communicating at different levels in a complex organization, or driving cross-domain projects or programs is considered an advantage. We look positively on experience with military systems. To succeed in the role, we would like you to have good knowledge in one of the following areas: Systems Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support, business and production management, or joint operations programs in the Swedish Armed Forces (such as IAMD or MDO). Having basic knowledge of methods for analyzing lifecycle costs and a good understanding of Swedish Armed Forces planning is also meritorious. Personal characteristics are of great importance to us.
