Are you a business-driven category manager with experience in category management methodology, preferably from grocery retail, pharmacy, or service trade? We are looking for someone who masters the entire category management process – from defining and analyzing the category, setting roles and goals, developing strategies and tactics, to implementing and following up on results. You have documented experience in negotiation, market analysis, and range optimization, combined with strong analytical skills and a clear drive to grow the business. Responsibilities
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability and growth in your area. This involves working with category plans, supplier negotiations, and range optimization, while ensuring we continuously offer customers the most relevant and in-demand products. You will be part of a dedicated category team and collaborate closely with marketing, finance, and logistics.
Your tasks will include:
• Range Work: Analyze, review, and optimize current range, and introduce new brands and products.
• Category Plan: Define, analyze, and develop the category based on established frameworks – from category role and goals to strategies, tactics, and follow-up.
• Negotiation and Partnerships: Build long-term relationships and partnerships with suppliers while driving strong negotiations to ensure profitability and growth.
• Campaign Planning: Design campaigns aligned with the overall market and category plans.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect item data, conduct analyses, and initiate actions to improve sales and profitability.
• Launch Work: Drive registration files, texts, and images for product launches.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
• Has a university degree, preferably in purchasing, marketing, economics, or business development.
• Has several years of category management experience, working with the entire category management process, supplier negotiations, and market analysis.
• Preferably has experience from grocery retail, pharmacy, or service trade.
• Is an advanced Excel user and comfortable driving analysis-based decisions.
• Has strong business drive and hunger to build a winning business and create a leading customer offering.
• Shares our winning mentality – just like in sports, we don't give up until we reach the goal, and then set new goals and continue towards even greater heights.
• Has experience driving negotiations and developing long-term partnerships with suppliers.
• Expertise in dietary supplements, capsules, vitamins & minerals, etc., and a genuine interest in fitness and health-related products is meritorious.
