About Us
Capio Eating Disorder Center is located in the picturesque Apelviken in Varberg.
We provide intensive eating disorder care with regular meals 6 times/day, CBT-E therapy with individual and group sessions.
Patient treatment duration varies but typically ranges from 16-24 weeks. We have 5 places for family care, where one guardian also stays with the child. We also have 12 care places for adults over 18 and 7 transitional places where patients are more independent and work with alternating care.
Warm meals are served at 11:45 lunch and 16:30 dinner.

Our regular chef will need to be on leave for 2-3 months, so if you want to try something different, apply.
We provide manual-based care for all forms of eating disorders. This means cooking is adapted to patients' diagnoses.
As a chef, you will prepare lunch and dinner according to our meal program developed by a dietitian, which we will implement at the beginning of 2026.
You will prepare protein sources for Saturdays and Sundays and set the menu for care staff who will cook the carbohydrates.
Your Role
The job is perfect for someone who is passionate about cooking and wants to offer our patients a well-composed diet according to the National Food Agency's recommendations. You need to be accustomed to working independently as you will work alone in our kitchen.
We offer our patients cooked meals for all lunches and dinners of the week. Preparation for weekend meals is done by care staff who serve meals on weekends. We prepare approximately 15 meals each time, but this can vary.
The position includes cooking, menu planning, dishwashing, and general kitchen cleaning. As the kitchen's responsible chef, you will have full responsibility for all aspects. Ordering of food items is also included.
About You
We prefer candidates with chef training and basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP. Previous experience in similar operations is considered meritorious. You may have worked in large-scale kitchens with significant independent responsibility. You should have the ability to plan and structure, as we have close collaboration with both patients and colleagues, so great importance is placed on a social and service-oriented approach.
