About the Company
GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with aircraft engine parts collectively form Engines, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced components for engines used in aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also handle engine maintenance.
GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.
Your Responsibilities
We are now seeking several CAM preparers who will work on both new projects/components that are in the industrialization phase and on existing products as they face volume increases.
As an NC programmer, you will be responsible, as part of a team, for creating new and developing existing NC programs for turning and milling. This includes setup, methods, tool selection, and identifying the need for new technologies. They use Siemens NX as the programming tool, and Vericut is utilized for simulation, verification, and optimization of ISO code. Most production drawings and instructions, as well as CNC programs, are programmed based on 3D models. They use Teamcenter for storing documentation and programs. Quality and robustness are of utmost importance, achieved in collaboration with production engineers and operators. Your expertise will have a significant impact on GKN and its future competitiveness within the team.

Requirements for the Position
- Academic bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
- Experience with turning and/or milling
- Good understanding of production flow and quality outcomes
- Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Experience in similar work and familiarity with the software Siemens NX is advantageous for the position.
