C++ Developer

In this role, you will belong to a team of 6-8 developers working with software for the Swedish Armed Forces. You will be at the forefront of technology, developing sensor-based products for land and maritime platforms. The role is split between developing a new platform that will support several internal technical projects and focused product development aimed at customers. You will have competent developer colleagues to support you, and together you will work in three-week sprints with daily check-ins. To give you the best possible chance to succeed in your new role, you will also undergo a comprehensive onboarding process that includes an introduction and mentorship program, combining theory with practice. **About the Position** The work involves both hands-on development in C++ and a broader technical role where you support junior developers, contribute to structure, testing, and quality in the development chain. The platform is being built from the ground up and includes features such as library management, data sets, CI/CD, configuration management, and integration of deliverables from multiple projects. You will work on both new development and prototype creation, where solutions are often scaled up to larger products. The role offers significant room to contribute ideas, influence work methods, and develop the future of sensor technology. Your workday will be characterized by agile methodologies, with daily stand-ups, problem-solving around deliverables and artifacts, code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvements. During the introduction, you will get to know the development environment, processes, and participate in an ongoing introductory program. The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations. This role requires Swedish citizenship. **Your Qualifications** • Several years of experience in C++ development, preferably from larger development projects or companies. • University education in a relevant field, or extensive work experience. • Ability to instruct and support junior developers. • Experience in professional development environments and a good understanding of testing processes. • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
