Construction Manager - Road

We are looking for a Construction Manager for Roads for Norrbotten and Västerbotten counties to Trafikverket. The position is based in Luleå. This is a consulting assignment. The role is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high level of flexibility and teamwork. Assignment The Construction Manager acts as support to the project manager within Trafikverket's Investment Division in Norrbotten and Västerbotten counties. The role entails leading, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of the project's execution within the specified time, cost, quality, environmental, work environment, and safety frameworks. The Construction Manager works independently within assigned authorities, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures compliance with laws, permits, and internal requirements. The assignment also includes knowledge transfer to Trafikverket's own employees. Responsibilities - Together with the project manager, lead and monitor the project's work. - Collaborate with the project manager to address coordination issues with other authorities and stakeholders. - Ensure a good work environment and effective internal and external communication and information dissemination within the project, in conjunction with the project manager. - Hold independent responsibility for the project's governance and management based on assigned authorities. - Ensure that all necessary approvals and permits for the work are obtained. - Continuously document and ensure the quality of ongoing work. - Review, monitor, and document the supplier's quality, environmental, and work environment plans. - Act as a substitute for the project manager when the project manager is unable to attend, which may apply to both internal and external meetings. - Fulfill Trafikverket's obligations within the project according to permits and laws. - Maintain necessary internal contacts with maintenance and technical specialists for consultation and information about the project. - Perform other tasks required to execute the project in accordance with Trafikverket's operational system. Requirements (Mandatory) - Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. - Experience working in project teams where collaboration has been essential. - Hold a valid B driver's license. - At least 3 years of work experience (as a project manager, construction manager, or in a supervisory role) in road engineering. The work experience should not be older than 10 years. - Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in road engineering. - Experience in documentation and surveying with drones. - Work experience as a project manager, construction manager, or in another supervisory role for at least five cast-in-place concrete bridges. The experience must not be older than eight years. - Familiarity with laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in concrete work. Meritorious - Strong collaboration skills. - Self-driven and able to work effectively independently. - Analytical with good problem-solving abilities.
