RESPONSIBILITIES
As a contract engineer with our partner company, you'll have a varied and developing workday, working closely with project managers and construction managers to ensure projects are driven efficiently – both technically and economically.
You will be a key person in the construction process, responsible for developing, following up, and analyzing calculations, schedules, and cost forecasts. The role also involves contributing to technical solutions, participating in construction meetings, and supporting the on-site organization with documentation, procurement, and project reporting.
Example tasks:
- Develop and follow up on calculations, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Participate in construction meetings and ensure technical solutions meet requirements and standards
- Establish and monitor schedules and quality documentation
- Manage procurement and contact with suppliers and contractors
- Support project management in construction-related and administrative matters
- Participate in site visits, construction meetings, and follow-up on work environment and quality
Projects vary, working with both public and private sector clients.

YOUR PROFILE
To thrive in this role, we believe you are meticulous, analytical, and communicative. You have a strong technical interest and enjoy combining structure with problem-solving.
You have a good understanding of contract law (AB/ABT), construction technology, and project management – and enjoy the collaboration between office and construction site.
You will have extensive contact with both internal project teams and external contractors, making your social skills and clear communication important success factors.
Competence Requirements:
- Construction engineering degree or equivalent technical education
- Several years of experience in construction or civil engineering
- Good knowledge of contract forms (AB/ABT)
- Excellent Swedish and English skills, both verbal and written
- Class B driver's license
Meritorious:
- Experience as construction manager, calculator, or project engineer
- Experience with procurement, inspection, or control responsibility
- Experience with public sector projects

Location: Karlstad
Working Hours: 8 AM–5 PM
