Construction Manager

We are seeking a construction manager for a traffic authority in Stockholm. This is a consultancy assignment. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high degree of flexibility and teamwork. **The Assignment** The role of Construction Manager for the conductor rail involves leading, coordinating, and monitoring construction work with a focus on BEST tasks as well as installation and construction activities. The assignment also includes support for several electrical disciplines, including high voltage, tunnel and station installations, as well as temporary power supply. The construction manager ensures that work is carried out according to requirements, timelines, and quality standards, and serves as a central point of contact for contractors and project management. The role entails close collaboration with other construction management and technical responsible functions. **Responsibilities** - Ensure that contractor work within assigned contracts or parts of contracts is carried out according to established requirements and conditions. - Monitor and report on the progress of contracts regarding costs, timelines, quality, safety, work environment, environmental impact, and social sustainability. - Represent the client in meetings with contractors, external parties, stakeholders, and the public. - Monitor necessary permits, building permits, conditions in other agreements, and ensure that other necessary prerequisites are met. - Oversee coordination with adjacent contracts. - Actively participate in safety and environmental rounds and, in agreement with the project manager and administrators, conduct rounds. Ensure that risk assessments are carried out by the contractor and that measures are taken. Ensure that the contractor's control plans are developed, that inspections are performed, followed up, and documented by the contractor. Randomly check and ensure self-monitoring. - Review the contractor's documentation for work preparations and ensure that these meet established requirements, designed solutions, and take necessary work environment considerations into account. - Conduct inspections and establish inspection protocols, as well as ensure that the final documentation from the contractor is received on time. In collaboration with the inspector, ensure that ongoing pre-inspections are conducted on time according to the inspection plan established by the contractor and follow up to ensure that inspection remarks are addressed and closed. - Participate in the preparation of forecasts regarding finances and timelines. Assist in financial follow-up by documenting additional work and quantity deviations, reviewing quantity take-offs and other invoicing. - Contribute to the evaluation and selection of alternatives for technical solutions by participating in the design work. **Requirements (Mandatory)** - Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. - At least three years of experience in work management/construction management related to conductor rail in the subway. - At least three years of experience with 750V DC for the subway. - Track authorization at least X9; this requirement must be met at least two months into the project. - Driver's license category B. **Meritorious** - Experience in joint welding of conductor rail from at least one previous assignment. - Experience in track construction in the subway from at least one previous assignment. - Experience in commissioning conductor rail from at least one previous assignment. - Experience working with disconnectors from at least one previous assignment. **About Us** Centio's overarching goal is to be a consultancy company that offers smart and sustainable solutions that positively develop society.
