Construction and Project Manager - Road/Railway

We are looking for a project manager for Trafikverket in Borås. This is a multi-year consulting assignment. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and the ability to work in teams. **The Assignment** The role of project manager for general rail involves leading and coordinating the assigned technical area in collaboration with the designer under the client’s project manager to drive the project towards its goals regarding scope, time, costs, and quality. The project manager ensures the progress and deliveries of the design, participates in field controls and meetings, and contributes practical experience to ensure that solutions are buildable, safe, and compliant with contracts. The role also includes the transfer of knowledge to employees at Trafikverket. **Responsibilities** • Conduct field controls and site visits to verify that designed solutions are buildable and compliant with contracts. • Monitor that the contractor and designer produce documentation and models that work in practice and can be executed in production. • Identify critical elements, risks, and buildability issues and report these to the client’s project manager. • Ensure that work environment, safety, accessibility, and other requirements are considered both in design and in field execution. • Participate in and contribute with field experience at design meetings, work meetings, and coordination meetings. • Review documents and models with a focus on buildability, quality, and compliance with contracts. • Document observations in the field, deviations and risks, and follow up to ensure these are managed according to the contract. • Act as the client's eyes and ears on-site, and through their presence contribute to ensuring quality and coordination between different technical areas. • Participate in requirement management and follow-up actions related to risks and buildability. • Coordinate with adjacent projects to ensure that interfaces are rooted in real conditions in the field and that solutions are practically executable. • Check the need for establishment areas and temporary access roads from a construction perspective, including verifying in the field that proposed solutions are suitable and practically feasible. **Requirements (Mandatory)** a. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. b. Experience working in project groups where coordination has been important. c. B driver's license. d. At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager in the relevant technical area (Project Manager for General Rail). The work experience should not be older than 10 years. e. Familiarity with laws and regulations as well as standards and directives in the relevant area. f. The consultant must have completed a BASÄSKYDD course. g. Requirement for work experience as a project manager for larger railway projects in the design phase. A larger project is defined as at least 1 billion SEK. h. Requirement for experience as a project manager of at least one railway project in the production phase worth at least 150 million SEK. i. Good knowledge of ABK, AMA, and MER as well as contract law. j. Completed training to function as the Client’s construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U. k.
