The role does not involve personnel management, but you'll be a coaching and motivating project manager who helps others thrive and perform in projects.

Your Role
As a Construction and Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on the city's construction and infrastructure projects - from concept to completion. You'll have comprehensive responsibility for project economics, timelines, and quality, ensuring all aspects are cohesive.
You'll work closely with colleagues, commissioners from other departments and operations, contractors, and other stakeholders. You'll engage in dialogue with politicians, citizens, and other interested parties.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead investment and maintenance projects in construction and infrastructure
• Manage project economics, budgets, and follow-ups
• Establish and monitor implementation timelines
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal functions
• Engage in dialogue with politicians, citizens, and stakeholders
• Participate in procurement and apply industry standard contracts
• Contribute to developing work methods and processes within the administration
Your Profile
We're seeking a civil or university engineer with several years of project management experience in the construction and infrastructure sector. You have good knowledge of industry laws and standard contracts and experience independently managing projects from start to handover. You're comfortable working independently, have a structured approach, and are confident in the client role. A B driver's license and excellent Swedish language skills are required.

The Project Unit belongs to the Technical Administration, one of Lidingö City's six administrative departments. We have approximately 45 employees working on managing and developing municipal roads, parks, natural areas, waste, traffic, water, and sewage. We're responsible for developing traffic and urban environments to create a safe, healthy, and attractive public space in our beautiful archipelago municipality.
